The crank and flywheel are both balanced to "zero" and NOT balanced as an assembly (If one flywheel or crank gets misplaced, dropped or damaged the whole line would come to a screatching halt while they tried to match parts) The guy sticking bolts in cannot take the time to center the holes OR risk buggering something up when starting the bolts so they index (pin) the crank and flywheel during the drilling operations ..that's all..really....
