I finally got around to hacking my I-Opener over the Christmas and New Year holidays. This is a 200 mhz computer that cost me $100 from Circuit City. It was all the buzz about a year and a half ago. I bought an $80 3 gig hard drive and a $16 bios chip (needed to hack the machine) and now we are in business. So I am into it a total of $196 and have a MP3 player with a color 11" screen that you could also use as a GPS (I already have the GPS software and unit from Delorme), a websurfer, or whatever else you could want to use a computer for except for probably intense computer gaming (I could put my Nintendo emulator and all my Roms on there for old fashioned Nintendo fever when the mood strikes). If you want to check out what is going on with these here is a link http://www.linux-hacker.net/. You can still find these units on ebay from time to time and the hack was pretty easy. If you get a version 4 or 5 it is basically as easy as popping out the bios chip and popping in a new one, then adding the hard drive. Now my only question is, how do I mount it?
