I put in a Cobra Children's Band radio for emergency use in the backcountry where cell towers disappear. In the model I have, all the controls and circuitry are in the handset that I hung on the overhead shelf behind the driver seat. I used a glass mount antenna (not the best) on the window in the back that is covered by the hanging closet. The tiny power supply is mounted on the closet surface behind the dr. seat and runs off the aux. battery under the dr. seat. Reaching over my head to grab unit is not the most optimal, but since most of the airwaves are full of garbage I rarely use it. In a previous van I had I mounted it dead center on the ceiling behind the wind shield and ran the wiring under the headliner and down the column to the fuse panel. Very convenient, but started to build up a callous on my skull from all the times I smacked my head on it coming from the back of the van to the front. The all in one unit is nice for hiding when in burglar territory. -Wayne
