Hi Wade,

If you are talking about the sorta "S" shaped metal hose that goes into the slave cylinder, I think you are looking at a dealer-only item. Mine was rusted solid, and the dealer wanted over $60 for one!! Even worse, they expected it to takee a few weeks to get a replacement, since none of the regional warehouses had it!

I couldn't even get the other end of my metal hose out of the rubber flex hose that is attached to the tranny. I bought the rubber hose from Ken Wilfy at http://www.vanagain.com for about $25 or so. Haven't installed it yet, though. Right now, I am running a steel line all the way back the slave cylinder. I went to the local NAPA store and bought a 6' section of 1/4" metal line. I used a compression fitting to join it to the factory steel line about a foot in front of the tranny. I also had to buy a metric to SAE thread adapter on the end that screwed into the slave cylinder. I keep watching for a parted-out vanagon to get the "right" parts.

I know running steel all the way isn't a great idea, but I needed my Van back on the road the same day.
