Bob,

Sounds like a front seal to me--- I would add that prior to any long trip--

E-mail message From Bob mendonca --

We are having transmission leak problems on our 88 Vanagon when it is cold. It seems to only leak when the engine is cold and doesn't seem to use transmission fluid as long as the engine is warm. We have tried various products, but none of them seem to stop the leaking problem. We are getting ready for a long trip to Arizona in a couple of days and want to add this before we go.
