Dear List members,

I'm about to install an oil pressure gauge and a oil temparature gauge in my
Vanagon as soon as I get all the parts assembled.

Regarding the oil pressure gauge, does anyone know (for certain) if a Tee
fitting and 2 senders for the oil pressure and idiot light is preferrable to
a sender with a double pin?

Hector infomred me that a double pin sender it might fool the dynamic low
oil pressure system to give you a false alarm. He suggests that the van's
engine uses two senders, with different pressure ratings for the system to
work.

Is there any reason to use a Tee and two senders instead of the dual sender?

Another question regarding what I gleaned from the archives. One posting
suggests that the NPT 1/8 fitting is so close tot he 11 mm metric that it
does not matter which is used. Any thoghts about that?
