<< or do you think I just have a hole in my tank? >> The TANK is plastic..however the hose and sender plate is mild steel...and it forms the left sied of the tank...and it's right next to the frame rail where the slop and dirt hang out...with A/C the hoses cover the area and it's not unusual to have 4-6 off wet mud on that steel plate...can you say "rust out:???? Get in there with a pressure washer (local "dollar' car wash) and blast the area right above the the frame rail and in front of the spring mounting "box"...let it dry out and the get in there (no smoking!) and get a good look...you're not dirty enought..I said GET IN THERE!!!..what a mucky-yucky mess, eh? I've changed them with the tank in the car..the OFFICAL procedure call for tank removal....OH yeah...<gulp> engine, tranny, skid plates etc...fun squared..... Soooooo when you are ready I'll walk ya though the procedure...and the part is over $100...I hope it's just a vent line.....
