The only advantage I can think of is that you'll get a higher load index (weight carrying ability) which is crucial for a Westy. For instance most passenger tires of 205-70/14 are 93 and most 215-70/14 are 96. You'll also get slightly better waer since less reviolutions per mile.

Disadvantages are: more expensive, more noise, more weight, less grip, higher fuel consumption, higher gearing, inaccurate speedo and difficulty fitting in spare tire carrier.

PS. There's a limit to how wide you can go depending on the width of your rims.
