Subject: inop rear hatch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed

Mornin' all, small problem cropped on my van ('87 GL Wolfsburg) over the holidays. I locked the doors (its got the electric locks) went into the store, when I unlocked the doors later, the back hatch wouldn't open, all the other doors worked fine. Its been down into the teens (10-15F) here for the past few days. I can push the button but the door won't open. Do you think this is just a problem where I can spray some lock deicer in the keyhole and fix it?

Also its running pretty cold lately, ie very little heat, I can barely get the temp gauge up from the bottom at times. I would assume that its my thermostat, as I've replaced that in my american vehicles when this happened. Thanks, Tony
