It was a water cooled conversion of the franklin "boxer" aircooled helicopter engine, which itself was a conversion from the inline Franklin car engine. Rent the movie "Tucker"..Alex said that they got about 75% of it "right" in the film..his wife? "Alex doesn't remember... He was so involved at the time..it's 99% fact..just like it happend" This includes the courtroom speach where Tucker warns that the US will be buying stuff from its former enemies..word for word from the court record...spooky..
