From: Chris Ken, How much of a risk is this for warm-weather (I'm in Texas.) vans? Best, Chris '87 Westy Tiico Mine went out and I live in San Diego CA. I replaced it with parts from VW (I wasn't on the list them) for a lot more than Ken is selling them for. Good investment. The gear shift lever all of the sudden dropped down on the shift mechanism housing. It is possible to drive this way but I would recommend it only in an emergency (hard to find gears). Had about 150k when it went. Good luck. Norm Swanson San Diego, CA. 87 GL Westy 85 GL |
