I looked at this stuff when I was shopping for sound deadener. It looks to
be the equivalent of Dynamat Original and B-Quiet Original. Its priced
around $1.55/sq. ft plus shipping. If you bought two pieces of this at
$9.95 each and added shipping of about $5.00, you would end up with 12.9
sq. ft for $24.90.
You can get an 18 sq. ft (1' x 18') roll of B-Quiet original for $26.99
delivered ($24.29 using PayPal). That works out to $1.50/sq. ft including
shipping. Go to
http://www.b-quiet.com/original.html for more info. You get more of a
discount on larger rolls.
Dynamat costs about 6 times as much as either variety, and its probably the
same stuff only with "Dynamat" printed on it.
I ended up getting a 50' roll of B-Quiet Extreme for around $65.00, its now
$85.00 delivered ($76.49 with PayPal). The Extreme has an aluminum face
which looks good and is easy to clean.
I finally put some photos of the parts of the van I have done in my Yahoo!
Photo Album at http://photos.yahoo.com/tjhannink - Go to the Vanagon Album,
then to the B-Quiet Insulation Album to see the photos.

There is a sale at www.partsexpress.com (part sex press?) electronics that
has
some stick on noise reduction sheet "stuff" for $9.95 for a 29" x 32"
sheet.
Installed 6 of these sheets last summer and it made a HUGE difference in
noise.
Self adhesive, cut in to form fitting pieces and stick on. Only thing you
will
need to do - if you sound deaden the rear hatch with a full sheet or more
of
this material you will need heavy duty rear hatch struts as the added
weight
will cause regular struts to compress. Why spend a million dollars
for "audiophile" carp when this stuff is so cheap you can layer it two
sheets
deep?
