don't pull the engine yet. It may be the slave cylinder. See if there is an oil leak above teh driver's side CV joint. Also, have someone press the clutch in while you look at the slave cylinder and see if the arm that it pushes moves. It should move about 1" if i recall correctly. Second- why a rebuilt clutch? Not to be a dickhead, but that was not a good idea. ALWAYS go with a new clutch, always.
