I think I was in my early 30's and bought my first 1960 something pop top camper in the early 70's. I blew two air cooled engines. I bought replacement engines from a junk yard. I loved that van. Did a lot of lovin in it. And have always missed it. Sold it in the late 70's to a French Canadian who took it back to Quebec, Canada. I'm 60 now and bought my second Vanagon two months ago (1989 Vanagon GL.) I plan to take good care of this one. William Polowniak 1989 Vanagon GL 1988 Mercedes 300 SE |
