Screw it in= richer Screw it out=leaner
If you screw it in, more of the air must go through the AFM flap and be counted, so the ECU is seeing a higher air flow reading. So the ECU will add more fuel; richer. If you screw it out, air is bypassing the AFM flap, so the ECU is seeing a lower air flow reading. So ECU adds less fuel; leaner. Mark Ingalls 85 GL
