OK i'll add my gen bio/stats. hehe married ok ladies sorry ;) anyway, I started driving in VW's in the early 80's with my mom and 2 sisters, we would make 600 mile trip from nocal to socal and vise-versa. first stick was a 1970's almost dune buggy type VW, it was wayyyyyyyyy cool to just be able to go threw 1-4 gears and no stall it.. so happy. later i drove it to a dirt field and just did donuts for days bugs are good for donuts. mom never found out I kept the thing clean until my sister blew the motor, she still blames me. Anway after this I owned a jetta POS. sorry! currently I have a 1966 bug and my bus 1985 GL, both are two differnt worlds but my VW blood runs deep. if i was'nt married my yard would look like a VW tow yard. LONG STORY short my mother got my into VW's, my 85GL she owned intil she sold it to me, shes only 4'11 go figure.., plus the work that needed to be done on this is beyond her she even said. and most shops would just rake her for $$ take care.
