Hello List I've been away for a while. But now I'm back! I need some advice before beginning my CV joint project on my Syncro. I have read the Bentley, general CV joint description in an auto shop textbook, the idiot book and cvjoint tech info on relitech. Here are some of the things I am unsure of: 1. Do I need to put the vehicle on jackstands. (the idiot book said not to on vans if there was enough space to crawl under, which is the case with my Syncro). 2? Do the wheels need to be removed? (The textbook said to remove the entire wheel assembly) 3. Is there something I need to mark before disassembly in order to align properly upon reassembly? (the Bentley said something about a spider, eek)! Any insight would be greatly appreciated. TIA Loretta 87 Syncro 90 GL 2- 82 Westfalias (soon to be made into one) |
