I concede that Terry is correct here. So I will officially withdraw by suggestion of the hand-brake. Upon further thought, I guess the van would need traction to get the rear wheels back in line and if the rear wheels had traction there would be no need for any panic manoeuvre. Sorry to all for my idiot suggestion. malcolm
