Hey folks! I replaced the electric water pump in the tank on my 85 westy. Works nice. Works too well in fact. When I turn it on, the water comes out so fast that it splashes all over the place. If I am trying to fill up a cup, it mostly shoots in, hits the bottom, and flies right back out at me. I was thinking about some way to make the pump run slower, with a switch to also leave the full power setting as an option. I talked to the electronics instructor at the college where I work, and he came up with a solution using a solid state voltage regulator thing and a few other parts, that would drop the voltage and be adjustable. Parts would be a couple dollars. I was just wondering if anyone has already solved this little nuisance problem. Thanks, Edward |
