No, Unfortunately, I don't have the money to do both right now. My local VW mechanic wants about double to do both ($1300 for both, $700 for one). In either case, I'm not replacing the head(s) because of the cash issue. The other one isn't leaking yet, but that's no indication that it hasn't started to fail.

I realize it's not the best of solutions, but it will get the van running again at least until the next failure. Then I'll consider a more complete engine rebuild or conversion if the money is available.
