Blake, I have an '84 7-passenger. When you bypass the idle stabilizer, you can wind up with the engine stalling. I good idle stabilizer will try to keep the engine at about 850-900 rpm at idle. Maybe it is because of another problem, but about 2 minutes after I start the van in anything but near freezing weather, the idle wants to drop off and by watching the tach you can see the idle stabilizer bring up the rpms
