The passenger side head on my 90 GL (owned since new) started leaking at about 70,000 miles, so I bought some coolant and kept an eye on the level. I now have 140,000 and have bought maybe 3 gallons total, so if you're worried about the cash.... ;) (I'm also in N. Cal. where it doesn't get too cold in winter).

This started happening on my 90' gl a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, yesterday, it started losing a LOT of coolant while driving - to the extent that the warning light would come on every 10 miles or so after starting with a full overflow tank. My passenger side head gasket is being worked on as we speak. Hope you have better luck.

Hello all, I just found a little puddle under my engine and it turns out it is from the passenger side head. I was wondering how long I can put off fixing this, and what the risk is (besides the obvious running out of coolant.) If I understand right, the gaskets in the head only keep the coolant in the head. Also can anyone recommend which heads to get and from whom.

Thanks, Patrick
