Blake Thornton wrote Well, if soft lifters never go away, then should they be replaced? I'm not too concerned about it since it seems to be running ok, but maybe this summer when its warmer I might be interested in replacing the soft ones

Blake my comment was may never go away and that goes for the new one also Im not saying don't bother to replace tired lifters but there is no guarantee that it will solve the air in the lifters problem. even if you bleed the lifter before you install it I am a real believer in marvel mistery oil a day or so before the oil is changed. it has time and time again proven itself to me as a great way to quiet down lifters Bob Bob
