Once you remove your bumper you will see that the underlying structure to which the bumper is attached has two oblong holes on top. If you measure accurately and very carefully, at least three or four times, you will be able to drill holes in the top of the bumper and align them with the holes underneath. I was able to mount my Hella XL driving lights like this without using spacers.

Good luck!

Chris.

i am planning on adding more lights to the front of my van as unless it is really dark out i can't even tell they're on...was going to mount them on the bumper, but i have never had the bumper off the van and was wondering how much clearance there is in there between the body and the front of the bumper? and inch or so? was just wondering so i did not buy something that would not fit with out modification...anyone have any brand or light choices that would fit my project? any comments appreciated...
