EERO Volkswagen is the VW dealership. They do the job but at dealer prices. Also try Johnson's Repair Service. I think he is still in business. Look in the local phone book for him. His shop is behind his house. His is probably the oldest VW repair station in Anchorage. Good guy. If he can't do it, or won't for whatever reason, he will tell you and tell you where you can get the work done.

There used to be a shop on King Street off Dimond Boulevard. Can't remember their name, but they had a good rep. The did some work on my '85 GL once, but I mostly used a shop down on the Kenai Peninsula where I lived.
