<< Does anyone know a good rreplacementfor the original Michelin reinforced tires size 205/70 14? >>

Michelin no longer makes a reinforced 205/70 14, and as far as I know no one else does either. The only tire that Michelin makes that's appropriate is the Agilis, size 185R14. It's expensive. If you check out Tire Rack, http://www.tirerack.com they'll show some other choices in that size.

I recently replaced a set of BF Goodrich Radial All-Terrain T/A's which worked ok in all weather but were kind of noisy. The size is a 27x8.50R14LT. It's load range is 95, 1515 lbs @ 50 psi, and about 26½ inches in diameter.

The tires I have just purchased, on a friends recommendation, is named High Country XRT, in the same size and weight rating as the Goodriches. I haven't yet figured out who the actual manufacturer is. It's also M&S rated, but is lots quieter. I haven't had a chance to take 'em out and play with them yet, so I can't say for certain how I'll care for them. Did I mention that they're lots quieter?
