-----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of John Reynolds Sent: Friday, January 18, 2002 7:28 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Goodbye Eurovan Detroit Auto Show I wouldn't be surprised if VW couldn't make the Eurovan work. I drove a 2001 non pop-top with the bed (MV?) in very late Nov. They had knocked $4,000 off the price, bringing it in line right with the Honda Odyssey that we bought. _____ The Eurovan seems to work everywhere but here (in the USA). They're even used in Canada as commercial vehicles. The USA market is really kind of an oddity. Ask Ford why they don't think the Mondeo would sell in the United States--it's the best car they make and we can't buy it here. Donald Baxter Iowa City, IA |
