There was no evidence of a chop job as I could plainly see the underbelly of the roof through the 2 foot by 1 foot L-shaped rent in the headliner. It was also supposed to be rust-free and perfectly roadworthy as judged by the seller, a retired German engineer. The sound of him saying over the telephone, " Eat e's perfeekt! "(It is perfect) still rings in my head and makes me think of Sgt. Schultz. Sure, pal, eat this! The whole enchilada made me start to question the purported prowess of Teutonic engineering. Rich |
