I concur. I just went through the whole same scenario : new pump, full tank of fluid, 12 volt test lamp
glows at the end
of the wires when the switch is triggered. I finally gave up out of frustration and took it to my local
mechanic and he found
the problem to be bad contacts in the switch at the end of the stalk on the steering column. He dismantled
the switch and cleaned the contacts and all is well now. I even have a good washer pump for a spare now!
