Hello from Atlanta, Ga. The YMCA is a great place to shower---but you must have your YMCA ID card, and bring a lock and towel. Some Y's have free towels and loaner locks, some have no locks, some no towels. Local Rec centers may have free showers, but some charge $1.00 to $3.00 for a daily membership. Once again bring a towel and lock. I might mention the large downtown Vancouver Canada YMCA---both it and the downtown YWCA have residence rooms for about $30.00 US per night. The YMCA is a wonderful clean and nice place and is across the street from a Hyatt with $150.00 per night rates. The Canadian Y's honor US memberships, but not all of their Y's have residence halls. Some have off street parking for a Westy (vanagon content). Here's to clean living! Regards, Mike Nichols 2--'81's |
