Heck I ain't tried it with the aircooled, we have a couple little bumps out here, one named Ranier for instance, and I barely made it up that with the diesel tranny, wouldn't want to try it with less agressive gearing, currently have a diesel 4 spd in my van with the 1.8 digifant in it, wouldn't mind higher gears, but certainly don't mind them when going up the pass. saving my nickles 'til I can afford daryl to do the 5 spd the right way.
