Chris,
      This sounds to me like the pilot bearing.   I
would hope we could get daryl who works on trannys in
the great northwest to give his read on this.   It is
my understanding that it is good to fix this problems
as it will only get worse and it can damage the
transmission by putting undue force on the bearings?
