<< #1 The bolts at the bottom of the alternator that apparently are posts coming out of the engine block broke off. Has anybody successfully removed the ends of the posts that are left in the engine block and replaced them without dropping the engine? It IS possible to remove the studs but, I hate to say, if you have to ASK the chances of YOU doing it are not so good. Broken studs are a bear with good acess. with the engine installed it's not a good venue to learn the tricks..you will have one shot to do it right and if you fail?... So I'd say find a good machinist or top mechanic and let them have at it..welding a nut on of there is any stud exposed can work well..reverse drill bits (maybe)..

#2 The belt that goes around the alternator broke last week and ripped off the dip stick tube at its base. Has anybody replaced that without dropping the engine? Simple..the tube is a slip fit with an O-ring at the base and the clamp holding it to the bracket...5 minutes

#3 How do I reset the oxygen sensor light? >> Get this question 2x a week now? <grin> dive under the front bumper ont he drivers side..right at the drivers side back edge of the spare tire plate is a balck box scred to a brakdt ont eh frame..has a cable goin in and a cable going out..and a big rubber plug with wires..AND on the face of it there is a place to push a button with a samll screwdriver..do that..light is out (or <ahem> pull the darn plug off and it will NEVER come on again.....)
