Congrats on getting your lovely beast on the road!

Steve's right, it's not degrees. Bentley says "set lift by turning pump until gauge reads 0.86+/-0.02mm." Maybe the shop guy said "degrees," but actually meant "mm lift." How's it running? Slow motion is OK. Bucking, bad knocking or Batmobile-type smoke screen may indicate the setting is wrong. I usually set mine to 0.90mm, but I wouldn't argue with anyone setting it to the spec.
