Funny, the Philadelphia Car Show was pushing the Eurovan and had a Westfalia (pop-top) Weekender on display. It was however, locked and had no sticker on it anywhere. Hmmm....They showed a nice video "commercial" of the poptop in action. Jay

Can't say officially, but talking to a factory rep yesterday at the VW display at the Detroit Auto Show, was told the Eurovan is DONE in the U.S. Apparently March is the last production date for any vehicle headed for the U.S. market. They will continue to be produced for other markets, however, per the rep. There was no gray around the comments- quite matter of fact.

They had one Eurovan on display, however it was on the lower level, subject to less overall traffic. The van was getting lots of looks and positive comments from show goers, but that doesn't mean they will be buyers, of course. My guess is the marketing push VW did in the fall with TV commercials and magazine ads trying to recast the Eurovan as the BIG van just did not gain any traction. However, that is only my guess.

Now the conundrum; Buy or not to buy?
