The taller- than-wide appearance is an optical illusion, and varies according to paint scheme. All of the rear-engined VW vans were actually pretty wide vehicles. I can't remember the actual figure, but apparently the T5 is even wider. But I bet it's SHORT inside, the failing of all standard FWD front-engined "snouted" vans. With these, to get decent interior length you must have a LONG vehicle. Forward-control (you can't call a rear-engined van "cabover", after all) is the only sort of van I'd ever buy; you can't beat the space-efficiency. -- Andrew Grebneff 165 Evans St, Dunedin 9001, New Zealand <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut Friends don't let friends do Windows
