If the smell returns every time you turn on the heat, you still have a leak.

Albeit a small one, perhaps, but only an on-going leak with keep the hot-syrupy smell around. I bet the insides of your windows have a slightly slimy/smeary film after a month or two, eh?

Does any one have a idea to get rid of the colant smell from the rear heater? Once upon a time there was a leak and it was repaired. now when i turn on the rear blower i get the sweet smell of colant but for only about 2 min then it is gone. I have double/triple checked for leaks and have found none. I have used a "steam cleaner" with no luck Any ideas?
