Subject: 89 syncro 7 passenger for sale

Hey all, When I return from this trip, I'll likely be selling my 89 syncro (I'm traveling in the 90 syncro westy). Sale is forced by my recent layoff, and cutting back to one vehicle for the time being.

It's the flash silver (champagne color), no rust anywhere, and a barely detectable crease on the sliding door. Alloys, p/w, p/d, p/l, cruise, a/c. Engine has about 40K on the rebuild, done by a shop in NV. A very clean vehicle.

I have recently done lots of work on it, including: rebuilt tranny (volks cafe in S. Cruz), OME shocks on all 4 corners, new 27x8.5x14 Bridgestone Dueller A/Ts (including the spare), new driveshaft, new VC. Upholstery and interior are almost as new. A/C is cold but will need service in the next year or two.

I am considering moving all the new running gear to my 90 syncro westy, but will leave it in this vehicle for a serious buyer who will adjust their offer accordingly. Similarly, I would be willing to move all the serviceable running gear from my westy to the 89 for someone who wishes more a bargain. The replacements would be: driveshaft with 100K on it, VC with no signs of binding, but 200K on it, tranny in good running condition with 200K on it (this tranny is the one I'm traveling with right now), BFG 27x8.5x14 with 8mm of tread left. I am traveling in the van with all this running gear now (6,700 mile trip) and I am pretty anal about not taking too many chances on vehicles when I'm on the road, so it's good stuff, just not newly rebuilt...

Anyway, please pmail me if interested, and make me an offer. I really don't know what the market looks like right now, so am not setting a price.

Take care, bmc :)
