Subject: leaking, pulley wobbling, noise making water pump
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

i have a few questions about my water pump, 85,1.9L westy...it has started to make quite a racket today and i noticed the pulley seems to wobble a bit, sounds like the bearings are shot to me...it started leaking about a week ago from around this area, but can't really see exactly where. just to make sure im in the right place, the small pulley to the left of the engine(facing forward from back) is the water pump pulley correct? and i know i need a new pump, is the thermostat also in there somewhere? i figure if im going to replace the pump, i may as well replace the thermostat as well while im in there, if it is going to be easily assesable...any comments appreciated as to how hard this is, what to watch out for etc...thanks
