I lucked out on finding a cover for ours at a local Pep Auto Trak Advance Zone type place. It was in the discount bin because someone returned it and they couldn't fit it back in the box, so it was a crumpled heap of blue Sunbrella(tm), but the box was taped to it. It took up most of the discount bin, and some of the surrounding floor space.

It is a universal jobberdoo, in the largest size this company made, what they called (on the box) "Size F-- for full Size vans". Other sizes were A-E. Then it listed some examples of full sized vans: Ford Aerostat, Chrysler Caravan (extended), etc. Vanagon wasn't in the heap, but they were only asking $29 for this $99 car cover, so I gave it a whorl.

Guess what? It fits like a $29 car cover from the cut-bin at an auto superstore! Fits great around the back of the van, WAY too short around the sides (we have a Westy), and like OJ's gloves around the front. But it keeps the dust off when the van is in the garage, which is most of the time.

Hey!

I have been looking for a winter cover for the Vanagon. Of course you will never go to Walmart and find a box with a Vanagon pictured on it saying "...perfect for Vanagons" so I wondered if any of you took a chance on a boat cover or something else you might have tried that works good. It's getting cold over here...
