Hi folks,

I am getting ready to purchase an 88 vanagon GL. The van is at the current owner's shop, and they have the determined that the pick-up unit in the distributor is faulty. After reading the manual, I was unsure if it is necessary to remove the distributor to replace the pick-up unit. Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks, Greg Stelz '86 westy conversion Columbus, Ohio
