<P>At 3/4 on the temp gauge the radiator cooling fan should be running . is it? Also the final kick for getting mine bled was useing a floor jack on the front end and getting it up about 2 feet. Also turn on heaters front and rear and check for heat (circulation).<BR><BR></P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>>Hi List,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>> I spent Saturday bleeding my cooling system on my '84 Westy. At first
<DIV></DIV>>I was unable to get anything to come out of the radiator bleed screw, so
<DIV></DIV>>I used Erik V.'s idea of replacing the coupling on the heater hose above
<DIV></DIV>>the spare with a flush coupling. (Thanks Erik). This allowed me to fill
<DIV></DIV>>the rad. with water and I was soon able to get coolant from the rad.
<DIV></DIV>>bleed screw. I then tried the bleeding from the bleed fitting in the
<DIV></DIV>>engine compartment. All I got was just a little dribble when turning the
<DIV></DIV>>knob to the open position. My question is should there be a noticeable
<DIV></DIV>>squirt/spray from this valve? Does it sound like it's operating
<DIV></DIV>>properly? Should I replace it? Do I even need it? By the way, the reason
<DIV></DIV>>for all this is my temp gage stays about halfway between the LED and the
<DIV></DIV>>hot mark.(about 3/4)
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Thanks for your ideas.
<DIV></DIV>>
