I've done quite a few of them. I dismantle them, and solvent clean them. I've had them powder coated seni-flat black at this point, and I've also painted them with semi-flat from a spray can. I use a small file to touch up any nicks, and lightly sand with 600 grit sandpaper prior to painting. I generally service the locks and then re-assemble. Steve Sandlin Steve's Lock Shoppe
