Slave Cyl is low spot in line and gathers water ... rusts. I have replaced 4 over the years with the first being after only 10,000 miles.

I replaced the master cyl two years ago and have gotten into the habit of sneaking under and bleeding the slave every summer. Only problem is that moisture may stay as the bleeder is on top the cyl. Best to change the entire hydraulic system every 3-4 years as the fluid absorbs water from the atmosphere.

Good luck, George Lehman 1982 westy bought new in '82 ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today! For your FREE software, visit: http://dl.www.juno.com/get/web/.
