Dave and fellow listers,

I encountered this incredibly annoying problem immediately after replacing the rubber seal between the cargo carrier and the Vanagon roof with an after-market seal from Bus Depot. I determined that the hollow rubber bead was "strumming" against the roof of the bus at high speeds. I carefully removed only the hollow rubber bead from the seal section over the windshield using an X-acto knife, which solved the problem. --

Hi, Anyone have any advice on how to quiet the rattling noise caused when the wind hits the cargo area above the driver? It seems to kick in above 65mph, very loud and vibrating... Thanks, Rick 85 Westie
