Debra,

The only thng you might do to save what is left on the side of the Van, is to wet sand with 600, and clear coat the panel---

But if your going to do that, you might as well just repaint the faded panel.

I thought of another question. To what extent do you try to restore/save the original paint job? We just bought a 1990 Multivan. Interior and body are in great shape (except for two small rust spots) but the original paint on one side is really washed out. Can this be saved? The pop top has old wax on it so I know that needs to be scrubbed off. Debra Clark Santee, California debra_clark@yahoo.com
