I tend to keep my Uzi neatly slotted between the handbrake and the driver's seat. One time I pulled into Wal-Mart, reached to yank up the brake handle and... oooooops! Thank goodness for my bullet proof windshield! Scared my Greyhound silly, though.

Don't hide 'em. Mount them above the driver. Kind of like a little pill box up there already, in the Westies, which is what all us gun toters have.
