Subject:      Aircooled lifter noise

I'm still new to aircooled motors in general; how much lifter noise is
normal in a Vanagon motor? I know my 2.0 has had new lifters within the last
eight months, but they still seem a bit noisy to my ear. Nothing
particularly harsh, but the "clicking" is definitely constant, and seems to
be more prominent on the driver's side cylinder head.  Would running heavier
oil (I use 10W 40 now) help at all? Or am I worried about nothing?
