I am about to replace the oil cooler on my 1990 vanagon 2.1, does any one know what the bentley manual means by coating the flange of the oil cooler with amv 188 100 02 sealant? Is there not a o ring seal? and is it OK to use silicone sealant? Thanks for any help. John 90 vanagon gl.
