If you want to keep your idiot light you'll need to install a T fitting. I used the following parts to install my sender on the 2000cc air cooled. #1. Adapter 80 cents, block to greasae gun hose. #2. 10" Grease gun flexible hose. 1/8" NPT both ends #3. 1/8" NPT "T" fitting #4. VDO Sender one side of T, Stock sender other side of T #5. VDO 80 PSI gauge I'd stick to VDO, Stewart Warner or other quality gauge and sender. The parts are available at most NAPA stores. Check their prices against Bus Depo / Bus Boys / Rocky Mountain Motorworks / sorry other vendors if I left you out.
